Reset

I needed a new post because I was tired of the last one already. I'm over that issue and it seems a bit too angry for here. Besides, tonight starts the new softball season in Manteca. We usually stay close to home to play, but when it gets late in the year, we move our team down to a new league, about 20 miles away. Check out these fields. Each one is a replica of a real baseball stadium. Very cool.

It's been 2 weeks now since San Francisco 1-Day and I'm ready to end my running vacation/recovery period. I can't stand it anymore and I feel like I've gained 5 pounds of Biggest Loser fat. My calf/back of the knee area still has some soreness to it but I'm able to stretch and roll it out. There's not a lot of explosion in that area so I think the best approach for me will be to start building up some support muscle in my legs (thighs, hammies) while going relatively easy on the running. In other words, it's Crossfit time again.

That's it for now. Good health to all...

Man if I had a dollar for every time I've seen the word "Crossfit" the last couple days in Blogland. You homies seem to dig that stuff LOL

Marcy. Yeah, it's definitely "buzz" material these days. It works though and gets me out of the gym in a hurry. I'm not as insane about it as the other homies.

I agree with Marcy-- it seems to be the THING to be doing lately. I'm feeling 3 steps behind with my non-crossfitting self...

Take it easy and be smart about the rehab Mike. It does hurt not to run, doesn't it? I know you'll come out of this stronger.

Hey, those baseball diamonds are SO cool! I've been to three of the five 'real' ones - Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, and Wrigley Field, both pre- and post-lights. I'd love to see the replicas!

Some of my best childhood memories are baseball related - do your boys go to any of your games?

Anyway, sorry to go so off-topic - I should probably write something about the benefits of Crossfit, but I'm in the same boat as Marcy & Victoria.

It's a good thing you have Crossfit to build up the body again. I'm a non Crossfit guy myself though, the stuff I'm working with right now is enough to kick my butt. Baby steps.
