Where Are You Hiding, Mr ITBS?
Quick post today. Ran easy 12 miles (1:42) in the smokey, afternoon sun (actually not too hot today). And the knee? No pain! Nothing! Yes! First time I've been able to go 7+ miles without the pain. Funny thing is when I was approaching the magic 7-mile marker, my knee kind of gave me a little tingle and then went away. Hello mind games! Afterward, my body seemed to have forgotten what it's like running over 7 miles. I'm gonna need to do some serious stretching tonight along with some tennis ball-leg loving (whatever the hell that means).
Previous workouts:
Yesterday was softball night so I decided to take a rest day (our team was terrible, although our beer drinking was very impressive)
Wednesday I did the following Crossfit workout (from a few weeks back):
7 rounds of:
135-lb Sumo Dead Lift High Pull (7 reps)
30" box jumps (7 reps)
I forgot to save my time but it was 14 minutes and something. Box jumps were fine but the SDLHPs were pretty tough at that weight.
Please don't wake up my knee.

That's ridiculous. I think I'll go do 8 push-ups and then have a beer. I feel like a pathetic loser after that.

Hey Mike, when I saw this yesterday I said the SAME Friggin thing...I am like damn I am so behind on thinking I am in any kind of shape--lol
When I spoke with Ryan today I said #1 was that legit the time? he said yup and I said great Now I really feel like I need to step up my trainings... what a great video though huh, It does get me fired up!!
Well, at least your beer-drinking is in top form. That's very important.
Good job, Mike! I'm glad that pain is finally gone!!!
I swear by CrossFit stuff. Whenever I'm faithful about doing the workouts, my hamstring tendinopathy issues disappear (the sit bone soreness).
Hey, I was in your neck of the woods at FleetFeet Stockton today. The owner is a good dude, but his staff needs a personality overhaul! Sheesh!
Okay, rant over. :)
Hahahaha, are you smokin' dope? ;)
A 1:20 half would be in my wildest dreams. Or maybe in another year or so. :) Thanks for the well wishes, Mike.
That's great Mike. Seems like the IT thing is finally going away. As you read on my blog I may have a chance to finally solve my chronic IT issues. We'll see, the ART Specialist I'm working with also put me on some tennis ball therapy on top of the foam roller.
Thanks for the support for this past weekend. It was tough, I'm on extended recovery right now. Which reminds me, I need to pick up a 6-pack of Anchor Steam for some "recovery" this evening.
